Manish Sisodia, Dy CM Delhi, face charges for participating in the controversial protest of January 14, 2014 , during AAP’s 49day- stint in power. However, charges against MLAs like JS Tomar, Somanth Bharti, Narersh Naliyan, Vishesh Ravi, Jarnail Singh are more serious in nature. While Tomar is facing charges of cheating and forgery and the Delhi Police is set to impose prevention of corruption charges in the ‘fake degree row’, preliminary probe has been ordered against Vishsesh Ravi, Karol Bagh Central MLA, in a similar case.
Somanth Bharti is facing charges of domestic violence. His wife has accused him of inflicting prolonged mental and physical tortured. Uttam Nagar MLA Naresh Baliyan, has been booked for distributing alcohol during assembly election. Another MLA Jarnail Singh, is being probed for assaulting public servant on duty. However, Delhi Police has apologised for calling Tilak Nagar MLA Singh, ‘absconding’ infront of the privilege committee of Delhi Assembly.
Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, who participated at Railway Bhawan protest in January 2014, has been booked for violating prohibitory orders too.
In one case against Kejriwal, court has fixed August 4 as the date for arguments on charge.
Criminal case of cheating/forgery has been filed against ex-law minister Jitender Singh Tomar and preliminary probe has been ordered against AAP Karol Bagh MLA Vishesh Ravi.
AAP Kondli MLA Manoj Kumar is being probed on charges of cheating and forgery, instigating security forces and misbehaving with woman. He has four FIRs pending against him.
While AAP MLA from Uttam Nagar, Naresh Baliyan has been booked for distributing alcohol during elections, MLA from Tilak Nagar, Jarnail Singh, is facing probe for assaulting public servant.
Ex-law minister Somnath Bharti’s wife too has accused him of physical and mental torture.
