नई दिल्ली: सुकमा जिले के छोटे तोंगपाल गांव में रहने वाले आदिवासी किसान मुका कवासी को शुक्रवार को कूकानार पुलिस ने पकड़ लिया। शनिवार को पुलिस ने मुका को अदालत में पेश किया।

दो दिन पहले एनडीटीवी इंडिया ने खबर दिखाई थी, जिसमें आदिवासी किसान मुका कवासी ने आरोप लगाया था कि पुलिस उसे परेशान कर रही है और जबरन नक्सली समर्थक बताकर सरेंडर करने का दबाव डाल रही है।

पुलिस ने शुक्रवार को मुका कवासी को गांव के एक हाट बाज़ार से गिरफ्तार किया। मुका का कहना था कि पुलिस के डर से वह रात के वक्त कई दिनों से अपने घर पर नहीं सो रहा था और जंगल में छुप कर रह रहा था।

एनडीटीवी इंडिया ने इस बारे में पुलिस से बात की। कूकानार थाने के एसएचओ प्रकाश राठौर का कहना है, “मुका कवासी संदिग्ध है और पुलिस ने उसे पूछताछ के लिए गिरफ्तार किया। उसे अदालत में पेश किए जाने के बाद आगे की कार्रवाई की जाएगी।” मुका कवासी की गिरफ्तारी का एनडीटीवी इंडिया को पुलिस के खिलाफ दिए गए बयान से कोई लेना-देना नहीं है।
