Sources said the matter was referred by the external affairs ministry, which discussed the case with Bahraini authorities keeping in view the immunity to consular officials under the Vienna Convention. Bahrain said it would look into the conduct of the diplomat.
The 49-year-old manager of Silver Arch, a 24-storey building at Nepean Sea road, had complained against Khaja, saying he had created ruckus after a building lift was shut for repairs and even ransacked her office and pushed her. “This was the third incident of such misbehaviour by Khaja,” the complainant said. Khaja has been booked for molestation, word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman and intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace of the IPC.

Menawhile on 14th Decemeber, The Consul General for the Kingdom of Bahrain in Mumbai, Mr.Mohammed Abdul Aziz Al Khaja, held a reception on the occasion of celebrating Bahrain’s 42nd National Day and the 14th anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa accession to the throne.
The celebration was attended by the Director General of Protocol at the Indian foreign ministry branch in Mumbai and a number of senior officials and businessmen, in addition to a number of Bahraini citizens and students residing in Mumbai.
The attendees offered their heartfelt congratulations and expressed their sincere wishes to the Bahraini government and people of further progress and prosperity.
