In a purported audio tape of the conversation, Rajpurohit alias Tiger, who is the main accused in the 2013 riots, has accused the police of partisan action against Hindus.

Listen to the audio clip of Harda SP being threatened by Gauraksha Commando Force:

“We won’t sit idle if the interests of Hindus are harmed. Either the police have sold themselves out or they have forgotten 2013,’’ he says, warning Sharma that he will back his words with action.

Telling Rajpurohit not to threaten him, SP Sharma purportedly says, “Even if I die, I won’t let the riots take place again.’’

When contacted, Sharma admitted that he had received a call from Rajpurohit, but claimed that the conversation did not amount to a “threat’’. He declined to give further details. Named in nearly a dozen cases of arson and rioting, Rajpurohit is currently out on bail. As reported by The Indian Express, a Muslim couple was reportedly assaulted by at least seven members of the Gauraksha Samiti at Khirkiya railway station on Wednesday when they objected to their luggage being searched on suspicion that they were carrying beef.

Police said the right-wing activists claimed to have seized “beef” from a bag during the “raid” on the general compartment of the Kushinagar Express, before laboratory tests proved it was buffalo meat. More than 40 right-wing activists were allegedly involved in the September 2013 riots in Khirkiya-Chhipbad after the carcass of a cow was found in a field.

The Gauraksha Samiti had alleged that the cow was slaughtered, but the Veterinary Hospital, Khirkiya, later said the animal had died after consuming polythene bags. – See more at: http://indianexpress.com/article/india/india-news-india/beef-search-on-train-gauraksha-leader-warns-sp-on-arrests-threatens-riots/
