Condemn the brutal lathi-charge on the Maruti workers this morning
The Trade Union Centre of India condemns the brutal lathi-charge by the police upon the striking contract workers of Maruti Suzuki‘s Manesar plant this morning. The contract workers had started their strike this morning when, within one hour the workers were brutally lathi-charged by the police. This clearly exposes the brutality and anti-worker tendency of the police in Gurgaon in particular and in Harayana and BJP-ruled states in general. We call upon all democratic struggling trade unions all over the country to take immediate steps to condemn this brutal lathi-charge and to come out on the streets all over the country in support of the workers of Maruti.
