This comes after chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday said that the state will seek capital punishment for those found guilty of raping girls below the age of 12.

Woman raped in Gurugram while husband, brother-in-law held at gunpoint

A day after DGP BS Sandhu emphasized the police’s commitment towards making the state safe for women, a 22-year-old woman was dragged out of her car and raped in front of her husband and relatives last night.The horrific incident happened in the Sector 57 area when four youths attacked the victim travelling in a car with her husband and relatives. While one of them raped her other three thrashed the other occupants of the car.

The Gurugram police have arrested all four and are interrogating them.According to the police, the incident happened at midnight when the victim was returning from a family get-together in Tighra village. As it was quite late in the night, her relatives offered to drop them back home.

The car was stopped midway as her husband wanted to relieve himself and her brother-in-law, who was driving the car, also stepped out to have water.

It was then that two cars carrying two youths each arrived there.“They asked my brother-in-law and husband why had they had stopped suddenly and started bashing them. I sat scared on my seat when one of them spotted me and charged at me he dragged me out and took to near by bushes. His friends kept on asking him to leave me saying it will cause police trouble but he did not listen and raped me before fleeing with his friends.

My husband noted the car number,” said the victim in her complaint. As per the complaint, an FIR has been registered against the unidentified accused under Sections 323 (causing hurt), 376 (rape), 506 (criminal intimidation), 34 (common intention) of the IPC at Sector 56 police station.

It was through the registration number of car that police nabbed all four accused identified as Sanjeet (22), who raped the victim, and Dharmender (25), Deshbeer (23) and Pawan (26), who thrashed her husband and brother-in-law.

This is the 10th incident of rape in 10 days in Haryana.

Married woman raped in Rohtak, neighbour booked

3-year old raped by 14-year-old neighbour in Hisar

The Haryana Police on Wednesday (Jan 17) arrested a 14-year-old boy who allegedly raped a three-year-old girl late Tuesday evening in Hisar. The girl’s parents who are labourers were still at work when the incident took place at around 7:30 pm. According to the complaint, the victim narrated the incident to her parents when they returned to the house.

Kurukshetra minor’s gang rape: Kin allege police inaction

The family of a 15-year-old Kurukshetra girl who was gang raped and murdered on Friday, have accused the police of inaction. Medical examination revealed the girl was raped by multiple persons and a blunt object was inserted into her private parts.
