According to the police, the madarsa is located on the third floor of a mosque in Kazi Mohalla in Sanganer. “The girl came to the madarsa regularly for studying. On Wednesday evening, she didn’t return home after the classes. The madarsa was closed. After prayers, someone happened to go to the third floor and heard the cries of a child coming from the rooftop,” said a police officer.

However, she was in a state of shock and immediately went unconscious, so we can’t say if she actually didn’t know him,” said the officer. The officer said that the door to the rooftop usually remains locked. “The fact that the accused had access to the rooftop suggest he was familiar with the premises,” said the officer. The officer said that interrogation of some suspects is going on. “We are also verifying if the madarsa was registered. We are taking statement of various people running the place. We are also trying to find out how the keys of the door lock was available to the rapist,” said the officer.
