“I have come from Ghaziabad. I did not like what he said about the country ,“ Choudhary said while denying having any links to any political party or group.
None of the JNU students attacked him; rather, they ensured that he was safely handed over to the police. “We do not want any violence. The police should do the needful,“ Kumar told TOI. “Just got to know that Kumar was attacked inside JNU. The person has been caught and is being questio ned. But the real res ponsibility lies with the go vernment that did nothing to stop vilification of a pre mier educational institute its students and teachers,“ said JNUSU vice-president Shehla Rashid Shora. Police said Choudhary was detai ned and questioned and an FIR would be registered if Kumar or his security per sonnel filed a complaint.
