The hindu children issue raised by BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj doesn’t seem like going away anytime soon as another hindu religious leader has now said that hindus should have ten children.

According to reports in The Hindu, Shankaracharya of Badrikashram, Shri Vasudevanand Saraswati, speaking at the Megh Mela in Allahabad, said: “It is because of Hindus’ unity that [Narendra] Modi has become Prime Minister. In order to maintain their majority status, every Hindu family should give birth to 10 kids.”

The children row is in a series of controversial statements made by BJP leaders or religious leaders which have given the government a tough time, prompting Prime Minister Narendra Modi to ask his party men to exercise restraint. The opposition had attacked the government for its silence on the issues.
