Bajrang Dal’s state coordinator Manas Ranjan Mohanty was today arrested by Odisha police for his alleged involvement in violence in Bhadrak town.

The Bhadrak Town police arrested Mohanty for allegedly inciting violence during the unrest, reports said.

With that, the total number of arrests in connection with the incident mounted to 277.

Worth mentioning, Asim Parida alias Muna, a leader of youth wing of CongressBJPYuva Morcha Bhadrak district unit general secretary Bikash Shrestha and Subhankar Mohapatra alias Kalia, councillor of ward no.15 of Bhadrak Municipality, were earlier arrested by police on similar grounds.

Notably, the communally-sensitive Bhadrak town was on the boil after some inflammatory posts were posted on social networking site leading to tension between two communities.
