PRESS RELEASE
Worker Pushed to Death
Effort to hush up the Case
New Delhi: In the evening of 25th April 2015 an unorganized worker Tuntun Singh was allegedly pushed from first floor of a building by the employer and his sons at the place he was working as a construction worker. After day long work when Tuntun Singh went to the employer in the evening and asked for his wages they had an argument over payment.
He was beaten and pushed by the employer and his sons from the first floor of the building. He fell down and died instantly.
Now when the family members and other construction workers approached police, they are trying to hush up the case, saying that it is a case of negligence on the part of the worker itself. They say that the said construction worker died due to electric shock from the machine he was using.
Protesting against his death and demanding an appropriate action against the employer and his sons and police inaction, hundreds of workers blocked the entire Shashi Garden area asking for justice.
