Must understand the pain of poor, Sinha said, hitting out at demonetisation

A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared the results of a survey on demonetisation, which showed 90 per cent people supporting the move, BJP leader Shatrughan Sinha slammed it.

“Let us stop living in a fool’s paradise and getting carried away by planted stories and surveys conducted by vested interests,” Sinha tweeted.

Sinha’s comment is in stark contrast to the BJP chief Amit Shah’s praise for the government’s bold decision to fight the black money menace.

Taking a dig at the decision which the Modi government has called pro-poor, Sinha said, “Must understand the pain of the poor, suffering, voters, supporters and women”.

…well Intentioned savings over many years of our mothers & sisters for emergency can’t be equated with black money.

CRITICAL OF GOVERNMENT

The BJP leader has been critical of the government in the past. He had slammed the Central government over its handling of the situation following the suicide of Ram Kishan Grewal over the issue of One Rank, One Pension.

“I wish the Delhi situation after the death of an army veteran was handled in a more mature, proper, practical and fair manner,” Sinha had tweeted.

Sinha had ruffled a few feathers when he said that BJP veteran LK Advani can be a better Prime Minister.

“The state India is currently in, with problems on the border and problems outside, we can use someone with the intellect of Advani. He can guide India with his experience and knowledge,” Sinha had said. “Advani is still fit to be PM, he should be better used by the BJP,” he had said.
