hospitalPatna: A pamphlet, purportedly issued by a Hajipur-based private nursing home offering attractive tour packages to those admitting patients to the hospital, has gone viral on social media. The hospital, however, has denied having issued any such pamphlet.

he pamphlet, which carries the name of B K Hospital at Jahuri Bazaar in Hajipur, has provided “potential tourists” five options to choose from depending on the number of patients they bring to the hospital. The “offer” is valid from October 15 to December 15.

According to the pamphlet, those “trapping” at least 15 patients for the hospital would be given three-night and four-day stay at Goa and Panaji. Those bringing 12 patients to the hospital would win a family trip to Jammu and Vaishno Devi for four nights and five days. On the other hand, those managing 10 patients would enjoy themselves at Shirdi and hill stations like Lokhandwala and Khandala for four nights and five days.

“Agents” bringing eight patients to the hospital can visit Varanasi and Vindhyachal for three nights and four days. Those convincing five patients to occupy the hospital beds would win a trip to Deoghar, Tarapeeth and Rajrappa for two nights and three days. The pamphlet also clarifies that a person will require to admit at least five patients to the hospital to avail the “scheme”. The “generosity” of the hospital towards its “agents” could be gauged from the fact that it offers the scheme to them in addition to the “cuts” they regularly get from the hospital.

Meanwhile, Rohit Kumar, the owner of the hospital, claimed that the pamphlets were not released by them. “It is a conspiracy to defame my hospital. We have not circulated any such pamphlet,” he said.

Vaishali civil surgeon Indra Deo Ranjan said additional chief medical officer Mohammad Quasim has been asked to visit the hospital for an inquiry. “Any action against the hospital will be taken only after the submission of inquiry report,” he added.
