Sikh outfit protests killing of youth

The Akal Purakh ki Fauj (APKF) held a demonstration at Bhandari Bridge against the killing of the two Sikh youth in Kotkapura clash between the peacefully protesting group of people and the police, which also left over 50 injured.The organisation demanded registration of a criminal case against policemen, who fired at Sikh youths, who were peacefully agitating against the desecration of Guru Granth Sahib in Kotkapura.
Members of the APKF were wearing black clothes and carrying placards to lodge their protest against the incident here today. While appealing to Sikh organisations to stay calm and lodge their protest in a peaceful manner, APKF president Jaswinder Singh Advocate gave a call to all Sikhs to wear black turbans and put up a flag on roofs of their houses as a mark of protest.Meanwhile, Sikh Students’ Federation (Mehta) also held a protest march, which started from Gurdwara Shaheed Baba Deep Singh and culminated at the Golden Temple in the evening.
They also demanded stringent action against police officials, who indulged in lathicharge and fired at the agitating Sikhs. Among those present in the protest include Prof Baljinder Singh (retd), former Chief Khalsa Diwan member Santokh Singh Sethi, SAD councillor Surinder Singh Sultanwind, councillor Amarjit Singh Bhatia and Kuljit Singh of Singh Brothers’ publication.

जयपुर में भी सिख समाज ने किया प्रदर्शन
जयपुर। ।
पंजाब में गुरु ग्रंथ साहिब के हुए निरादर को लेकर देश व्यापी प्रदर्शन के क्रम में राजापार्क स्थित गुरुद्वारे के बाहर आज सिख समाज की ओर से प्रदर्शन किया गया। यह प्रदर्शन शहर की समूह सिख संगत राजस्थान और राजस्थान सिख यूथ विंग की ओर किया गया।
प्रदर्शन स्थल पर गुरुवाणी का आयोजन भी किया गया। यूथ विंग के अध्यक्ष देवेन्द्र सिंह शंटी और संगत के अजयपाल सिंह ने बताया कि पंजाब में धन धन साहिब गुरुग्रंथ महाराज के निरादर के विरोध में यह प्रदर्शन किया जा रहा है।
सिख संगत से जुडे लोगो ने बताया कि इस तरह धर्म ग्रन्थो का अपमान सहन नही किया जाएगा।
विरोध प्रदर्शन जारी रहेगा
गुरु ग्रंथ साहिब के पंजाब में हुए निरादर के विरोध में जयपुर के सिख समाज ने शांतिपूर्ण विरोध प्रदर्शन जारी रखने की बात कही है। शुक्रवार शाम को जयपुर में सिख समाज के लोग इकठठा होकर कैंडल मार्च निकालेंगे।
