A sterilization Camp organised by an NGO in Alwar District saw the flouting of norms wherein a 102 women were registered on the given day. All women operated had to either sleep on the floor as there were only 5 beds available. Given that the weather is alot cooler these days, the women were not even given a sheet to cover themselves.
कस्बेके राजकीय रैफरल अस्पताल में मंगलवार को सरकार के परिवार नियोजन कार्यक्रम के तहत महिला नसबंदी कैंप का आयोजन किया गया था। इसमें करीब 102 महिलाओं ने आपरेशन के लिए रजिस्ट्रेशन कराया था। शिविर में महिलाओं को ऑपरेशन के बाद जमीन पर ही लिटाया गया। उक्त कैंप का आयोजन एक एनजीओ द्वारा किया जा रहा था लेकिन कैंप में आपरेशन के लिए आई महिलाओं की हालत आवश्यक सुविधाओं के अनुसार नहीं थी। ऑपरेशन के बाद महिलाओं को अस्पताल के महिला वार्ड में ले जाया गया जहां पर केवल पांच बैड ही थे। इससे महिलाओं को जमीन पर फर्श और गद्दे पर लिटा दिया गया। इस दौरान हल्की ठंड में महिलाओं को ओढऩे के लिए कोई व्यवस्था नहीं थी।

The NGO’s flouting norms in performing sterilisation programme is deplorable and a case should be registered for causing suffering to the women. This is medical negligence and should be probed by the concerned authorities seriously.
