KottayamAt a time when one-third of Keralites are yet to get Aadhaar, Abhishek Amrith, 7,  second standard student of St Antony’s LP school, Parippu, got three Aadhaar cards.

Abhishek’s father, Amrith V. Chandy  of Chengalam near here,  said  that the child registered for Aadhaar twice. The first time was when he was a UKG  student of  St Mary‘s central school, Puthanangady.

The other cards might have been sent by mistake, he said. This is  despite the Aadhaar authorities’ claim of taking  steps to prevent duplication.
