Jaipur: The Indian Mujahideen had not sent threat mails to the ministers in Rajasthan. Instead, the terror mails were actually sent by a 34-year-old disgruntled unemployed man.

The Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) of the Rajasthan police arrested Shushil Chaudhary for sending threat e-mails to 16 ministers, warning them of a terror strike by the Indian Mujahideen on Republic Day. The accused had sent the emails from a cyber cafe in Vidhyadhar Nagar, which was traced after Google sent the IP address to the police on Saturday.

Within hours of getting the IP address, the police picked him from his residence in Murlipura and he confessed to his crime, said additional director general, ATS, Alok Tripathi. “Prima facie there is no terror link,” Mr Tripathi said.
