Dear Friend,

By now you’ve heard that a 7.8 magnitude earthquake has devastated entire communities in Nepal. Over a thousand people already confirmed dead and the United Nations predicts that tens of thousands are likely dead or injured and over a million people may end up without shelter. Media reports confirm that an avalanche on Mount Everest triggered by the quake has killed more people and many temples have been decimated in Kathmandu. Aftershocks are still occurring.

Please make a gift. Women in Nepal need our help now more than ever.

Remote communities have yet to be reached, and families risk exposure without shelter in below freezing temperatures and risk their health without access to food and water.

Your support is urgently needed so that Global Fund for Women grantee partners can give local on-the-ground support to women and children in need.

During disasters women and children are disproportionately affected.  Our partners are rooted in the communities they serve. They know the specific needs of women after a crisis, needs that most relief efforts overlook. These local women leaders also ensure that women’s voices are heard and that they play an essential role in the relief and recovery efforts.

Your gift today will help women and children who have survived the earthquake. Please give now.

Thank you for your support.

P.S. 100% of your gift will go to groups on the ground in Nepal working to help women during this devastating crisis.
