Eyewitnesses claimed that the death was a suicide.

State police said, “At 4.45 AM we were told by one trainee that one a girl has jumped in pond to commit suicide. Two people saw her jumping into pond. The moment we got information we saved her and sent to hospital but she was declared brought dead.”

Even as over 40 people have died in the multi-crore scam, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has still not agreed for a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation. Chouhan said that the high court has struck down the demand for a CBI probe and is monitoring the case.

Meanwhile, the opposition has upped the ante against the BJP government demanding a CBI probe saying it has no faith in the state government.
