Patna: Three minor boys allegedly abducted and gang-raped a 12-year-old girl in a village under the jurisdiction of Masaurhi police station in Patna rural in the early hours of Friday.
The girl was returning to her home after attending a wedding ceremony at the village around 12.30am. A minor boy, who is her neighbour, forcibly took her to a nearby agriculture field where his two associates were waiting.
The trio raped the girl and threatened her with dire consequences if she reported the incident to the police.
The three boys fled the spot, leaving the girl bleeding profusely.
Her cries for help went unheeded because a public address system was blaring in the neighbourhood.
She somehow reached home and narrated her ordeal. The girl’s mother along with some local residents reached the Masaurhi police station around 2am and lodged a complaint against the three accused.
