Journalists accuse IG Kalluri of preparing genocide in Bastar
The recent arrest of journalists under Jan Surkaksha Adhiniyam and Arms Act in Bastar has created an uproar. As an out come to the continuous oppression and exploitation, many journalists across the state gathered in Raipur on Saturday and marched towards CM House. They demanded immediate removal of IG SRP Kallurri, from Bastar.

Journalists alleged that reporting in Bastar has become difficult due to unconstitutional activities of IG Kallurri. The demonstrators also gheroed CM’s House and demanded removal of IG Kalluri.

The journalists alleged that on IG’s instructions, hundreds of innocent tribals were implicated in fake naxal cases and are still languishing in jails. They also said that the IG SRP Kallurri is conspiring genocide in Bastar. Somaru Nag and Santosh Yadav were arrested under Jan Suraksha Adhiniyam (charges of Sedation).

Secretary of Newly formed Sanyukta Patrakar Sangharsh Samiti, Kamal Shukla alleged, Kalluri has crossed all the limits of oppression in Bastar.

“Attack on journalists should be visualized as attack on  freedom of expression”, said literary Girish Pankaj, who is also extending his support to the agitation.
