Mahabubabad: In a shameful incident, a Dalit woman was allegedly stripped and beaten on Thursday. The incident came to light on Friday. The incident happened at Penugonda village under Kesamudram mandal.
The victim’s husband Vishnu lodged a complained with Kesamudram police on Friday. According to Vishnu, one Ballari Yakaiah had been stalking and harassing his wife for the last six months, seeking sexual favours.
Yakaiah, along with his brother and mother, attacked the victim’s house and beat the woman indiscriminately with sticks. She was even hit on her private parts. The woman was undergoing treatment in the government hospital here. This is a deplorable incident. The family supporting the stalker in his attempt is even more regrettable. The matter must be investigated and the guilty should be punished severely .
