Arvind Kejriwal said that Minister of Child Welfare and Social Justice Sandeep Kumar has been removed from the cabinet.
Delhi CM Arvind KejriwalDelhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday removed Minister of Child Welfare and Social Justice Sandeep Kumar after the CM received an ‘objectionable’ CD against him. The decision to sack the minister was taken at a high-level meeting attended by top AAP leaders.
In a statement to ANI, Arvind Kejriwal said that Minister of Child Welfare and Social Justice Sandeep Kumar has been removed from the cabinet.
Kejriwal took to Twitter to announce his decision: “Recd “objectionable” CD of minister Sandeep Kr. AAP stands for propriety in public life. That can’t be compromised. Removing him from Cabinet wid immediate effect.”
Sources said the CD contained some wrongdoings by Kumar and Kejriwal did not approve of it. Kumar represents Sultanpur Majra constituency. He is the second AAP minister to be sacked after Asim Ahmed Khan who was
Minister for Food and Supplies.

Many AAP members have been facing charges of various kinds since the party came to power. Some members might have been implicated by the central government and BJP due to the perpetual animosity between the two parties. But removing a cabinet minister soon after receiving allegations of video is a positive step. Kejriwal must set an example to other parties.
