SURAT: Guess what the construction labourers and thedaily wagers are doing these days to earn money? They stand in long queues at banks to exchange the scrapped notes with new ones, and charge between Rs 300 and Rs 500 per day.

Most of the realtors and black money hoarders in the city are taking the help of the construction labourers and daily wagers to get their black money converted into white. Not only they are paid the ‘kharchi’ (daily wages) but they are also provided with water bottles and lunch.

The staff members employed by realtors and other firms have to gather people early in the morning. A single lot consists of more than 150 persons, including men and women.
