A37-year-old man was allegedly lynched to death by a mob of six at a village in Haryana’s Ijjar. The man was beaten to death allegedly for stealing fish. The local police have started an investigation but they are yet to make an arrest.

The deceased, named Anil and a resident of Chandol village, had gone to the nearby Chapar village to catch fish in the middle of the night. He was joined by his friend, Kale, and brother-in-law, Pawan.

The three were caught by the locals there, who accused them of stealing fish. While Pawan and Kale managed to flee, Anil was severely beaten. The mob then dumped his unconscious body near the Chandol village before fleeing the spot.

Upon seeing Anil’s body the next morning, the villagers informed his family, who then took him to the local hospital, where he was declared dead.
