BENGALURU: A 23-year-old woman was allegedly molested in east Bengaluru’s Nagarwara Main Road on Friday morning. The woman, who was walking towards a bus stop, around 6.30am, near Arabic College Bus stop, was stalked by an unidentified man, who allegedly molested her.
The survivor, a private firm employee, was on her way to work, when the incident took place.
The incident comes a day after police arrested four men, who allegedly molested a woman in Kammanahalli on January 1. In the press meet police commissioner had warned ‘potential molesters’ of consequences, however, within 24 hours another case of molestation was reported.
The woman who attacked, suffered injuries, including cut on her tongue, while she was resisted the molester. She was admitted to Ambedkar Medical College and after treatment, she filed a complaint with KG Halli police.
A senior police officer told Times of India: “Based on the complaint registered by the woman, we have taken up a case and senior officers are personally monitoring the progress of the investigation.”
Although no footage of the attack is available, police have recovered the CCTV clip of the alleged molester following the woman.

The incidents of molestation are increasing in Bengaluru. They are also becoming atrocious and ‘ cannibalistic’ . The hurting of body parts and inflicting grievous injuries is a dangerous trend. The police and government should urgently formulate measures to tackle the issues and provide safety to women
