#India – Dalit Woman Raped in Orissa , One Arrested #Vaw

A 25-year-old dalit woman, mother of two children, was raped at Patalipanka village in Marshaghai police station of Odisha‘s Kendrapara district.

The accused who has been arrested committed the sexual assault by trespassing into the house and after tying the victim last night, police said.

The offence was committed in the absence of male members of the family, the police said.

“The accused Jayaram Mallick was arrested under IPC sections 376, 557, 342 and 506. He has confessed to the crime. Both the victim and the accused were medically examined,” Inspector Marshaghai police station, Sushanta Patra, said.

The accused would be forwarded to the court tomorrow, he said.
