Police have registered a case of rape and threatening against Mohan Jaiswal, a resident of Ghatgara village at Badnawar police station on Tuesday on the complaint of a 25 years old woman of the same village.
The victim alleged that after untimely demise of her husband, accused Mohan lured her on pretext of marrying and physically exploited her for last three years, police said.
The accused kept the woman at his house with her four kids during this period. Mohan had divorced his wife some years ago and lured the widow victim on promise of wedding her in future, claimed police. However, three months back, the accused thrown out the woman along with her kids and threatened her of dire consequences if she reported the matter to police, they added.
The victim was so scared that she could not muster courage to complain against him for three months.
Meanwhile, the accused married another woman prompting the victim to file a complaint against him. Since, the victim is a tribal, a case under SC\ST Act was also registered against the accused who is still at large.
