Lucknow: Angry over UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s statement on Lord Hanuman, a man affiliated with Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC)has put up posters in Lucknow, asking the CM to apologise for “bringing God into politics”. The posters, which have been displayed at all major crossings in the city, were issued by Rahul Awasthi an affiliate of the UPCC.
Speaking to News18 about the issue, UPCC spokesperson Anshu Awasthi said, “The BJP is taking instructions from the RSS and trying to create a divide in the society. People will never forgive those who have dragged Lord Hanuman into politics. The BJP has played divisive politics since its inception. Sometimes their leaders say Sita Mata was a test-tube baby and now they are talking about the caste of Hanuman.
