Villagers told that they have been drinking the dirty water of this drain for years. During the summer, after the water in the drain dries up, the villagers quench their thirst. Officers and public representatives come at the time of elections and then forget the problems of the villagers.

Jharkhand News: Even after 7 decades of independence, villagers of Pooranpaniya and Simratari village of Dadighaghar Panchayat under Ichak block of Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand are compelled to drink dirty water by digging hill drains and wells. Villagers along with BJP leader Ramesh Kumar Hembrom have informed the local MLA, MP and officials about the water problem many times, but the solution was not found. Indian social activist Dr Devendra Singh Deo has taken this seriously. In order to make proper arrangement of drinking water in the village, Chief Minister Hemant Soren has been told to make him aware of the problems and to provide clean drinking water facility at any cost.

One hundred families reside in about 20 houses in Tola above Pooranpaniya village. There is not a single well in this village. Since there is no way for big vehicles to go, there is no chappal. Adjacent to this village is a mountain in the north-west direction. A drain has emerged from the middle of the mountain, which is known as Banhe Baba Nala. Villagers Ramsahai Manjhi, Bhuvneshwar Manjhi, Laxman Manjhi, Karma Manjhi, Tulsi Manjhi, Mahilaal Manjhi and other villagers told that they have been drinking the dirty water of this drain for years. During the summer, after the water in the drain dries up, the villagers quench their thirst. Officers and public representatives come at the time of elections and then forget the problems of the villagers.

There is also a problem of water in Heth Tola of Simratari village. There are about 22 houses in this village, in which 120 people reside. There is not a single well in this village. There is a fountain, but red dirty water containing iron comes out from it, which is not fit for drinking. Villagers Jhandu Singh, Mahendra Singh, Parkash Singh, Baleshwar Singh, Nakuldev Singh and others say that we drink water only after digging chutes throughout the year, no officials come to the village. Leaders also come at the time of vote and leave with false comfort.
